MHPOD Website Launch - VIC Depart of Health

The Victorian Department of Health manages the state’s healthcare system and mental health services. The department engaged Punchy Studio to create an animated video to address the communication challenge of launching the upgraded Mental Health Professional Online Development (MHPOD) platform. The brief was to introduce the comprehensive online learning hub to a wide range of professionals, including nurses, doctors, psychologists, and peer workers, highlighting the program’s free accessibility. We produced a professional animated explainer video that showcases the platform’s diverse learning styles, from in-depth modules to micro-learning and self-assessment tools. Our approach focused on the platform’s utility for both individuals and managers, explaining how the new website incorporates diverse perspectives and provides reporting tools for team progress. The video is deployed on the MHPOD portal and through government health networks to encourage the mental health workforce to sign up and grow their skills. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and a motivating voiceover, we effectively messaged that there should be no barriers to high-quality professional development in the sector. Dynamic motion graphics reinforce the call to action, directing viewers to the new website to create an account and take the next step in their career journey.
