Catchments - NSW DCCEEW

Animated Explainer Video

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is responsible for managing the state’s natural resources, including the catchments that supply drinking water and sustain regional ecosystems. The department needed an animation introducing the concept of catchments and the role they play, aimed at residents, students and stakeholders engaging with land and water policy. Punchy produced an animated explainer that breaks the catchment concept into digestible visual segments, illustrating how water moves through landscapes, why catchment health matters, and how the department’s management activities support both communities and the environment. The aesthetic is clean and accessible, suitable for both public-facing and educational contexts. The video supports DCCEEW’s stakeholder engagement and public education work. Punchy delivered scripting, design, animation, voiceover and motion graphics.
