Parent Line Animation - Catholic Care

CatholicCare operates Parent Line, a free telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers across NSW. They came to Punchy to help raise awareness of the service and lower the barrier for parents to call. Many parents experience moments of overwhelm but don’t know that free, confidential support is available, and the brief was to give the service a clear, warm public face. Punchy produced an animated promotional video that introduced Parent Line, the kinds of issues counsellors can help with (parenting strain, behavioural challenges, family conflict, the small daily moments and the larger crises) and how to reach the service. The animation used a warm character-led style that normalised asking for help, paired with a friendly voiceover that felt like a peer rather than an authority. Services included scripting, storyboarding, illustration, animation, voiceover and audio mix. The video was deployed across CatholicCare’s digital channels and partner networks working with families.
