Planning and Behaviour Support for Carers - DSA (HammondCare)
Animated Explainer Video
Dementia Support Australia (delivered by HammondCare) approached Punchy to help build out their carer education library with a piece focused on planning and behaviour support strategies. The audience was carers (both family and professional) supporting people living with dementia who experience changed behaviours, and the brief was to translate clinical behaviour support frameworks into practical, day-to-day approaches a carer can actually use. Punchy produced an animated training piece that walked through the planning process: identifying triggers, developing strategies, communicating across the care team, and reviewing what works. The animation used a warm, character-led style consistent with the broader DSA video library, with scenario-based examples to ground the frameworks in real situations. A calm, instructive voiceover carried the narrative, paired with motion graphics that visualised the planning steps. Services included scripting, storyboarding, illustration, animation, voiceover and audio mix. The video sits within DSA’s carer training resources, accessible to families and professional care teams.
