The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) is the free, fair, and independent dispute resolution body for electricity, gas, and water customers in New South Wales. EWON engaged Punchy Studio to create an animated video to address the common communication challenge of helping residents navigate problems with their utility providers. The brief was to clearly outline the scope of EWON services, including advice on high bills, disconnections, and finding better energy deals. We produced a vibrant animated explainer video that uses clear, accessible graphics and diverse character designs to reflect the multicultural NSW community. Our approach focused on a message of accessibility, highlighting that the service is free and offers support through interpreters or community workers. The video is deployed across government websites and social media platforms to empower consumers to resolve issues with their providers effectively. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and an informative voiceover, we delivered a practical guide for consumer rights. Bold motion graphics reinforce the call to action, providing the EWON helpline number and website for immediate assistance.
