The Summer Foundation is an Australian non-profit organisation established in 2006 to resolve the issue of younger people being forced to live in residential aged care. They approached Punchy Studio to produce a high impact video for their brand relaunch, aimed at shifting their focus towards the 40,000 Australians with disability who require 24/7 support. The brief was to celebrate their significant historical achievements, such as the 10 plus 1 housing model and the Building Better Homes campaign, while calling for new collaborators to help realise a bold new vision for inclusive housing. We produced a vibrant animated promotional video that uses a sunrise motif to symbolise a new dawn for the organisation. The approach combined data driven storytelling with an empathetic narrative to highlight the success of the Housing Hub and the foundation’s role in helping over 7,500 younger people avoid aged care. By utilising fluid motion graphics and a professional voiceover, the video clearly articulates why the current group home model must change to prevent risk of neglect. This asset was deployed across digital platforms to signal the foundation’s strategic pivot and to drive engagement with government and sector partners. The project involved comprehensive scripting, bespoke illustration, and animation services to ensure the foundation’s message of Equitable and inclusive support reached a national audience.
