Different Types of Exercise - Diabetes AU

Animated Explainer Video

Diabetes Australia, through the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), supports adults living with Type 1 diabetes to manage their condition and live well. Exercise is one of the more anxiety-inducing aspects of self-management for this audience: many newly diagnosed adults and young people taking over their own care want to exercise but worry about blood glucose management and the risk of hypos during activity. The brief was for an animation that would build confidence rather than caution. Punchy produced a 2 minute motion animation, one of five in a series, that walks viewers through different types of exercise (aerobic, resistance, high-intensity, flexibility) and what each means for blood glucose levels. The aesthetic continues the established NDSS visual style for consistency across their resources. Hardcoded captions and downloadable subtitle files were included. The video is integrated into NDSS resources for adults with Type 1 diabetes and will sit within the new T1 and Me website. Punchy delivered scripting refinement, design, animation, voiceover, motion graphics and captioning.
