CTP Scheme Overview - MAIC
Animated Explainer Video
The Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) is the Queensland statutory authority that regulates the state’s Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance scheme. They came to Punchy to help explain how the CTP scheme works to Queensland motorists, who pay CTP as part of vehicle registration but often don’t understand what it covers, who it protects, or how to claim. The brief was to give the public a plain-English overview that built confidence and reduced misunderstanding. Punchy produced an animated explainer that walked viewers through what CTP is, who it covers (people injured in motor vehicle accidents, not vehicle damage), how it’s funded, and how the claims process works at a high level. The animation used a clean, accessible illustration style designed to suit a government information context, paired with a measured voiceover. Services included scripting, storyboarding, illustration, animation, voiceover and audio mix. The video was deployed across MAIC’s website and broader scheme education channels.
