Continence Foundation of Australia
Animated Explainer Video
The Continence Foundation of Australia is the national peak body promoting bladder and bowel health. The Foundation approached Punchy Studio to create an animated explainer video to address the significant communication challenge of overcoming the shame and embarrassment associated with incontinence. The brief was to normalise the condition by highlighting its prevalence, affecting over 5 million Australians, and to provide a clear pathway for professional support. We produced a gentle and inclusive animated video that uses relatable characters and clear iconography to identify common symptoms such as urgency and frequent nighttime visits. Our approach focused on a message of hope and empowerment, explaining that incontinence can be managed or treated regardless of age, gender, or health background. The video is deployed across national health campaigns and the Foundation digital platforms to drive engagement with the National Continence Helpline. By combining empathetic scripting, custom animation, and a reassuring voiceover, we created a supportive resource that encourages viewers to seek help for a better quality of life. Detailed motion graphics reinforce the call to action by clearly displaying the free helpline number and providing a sense of immediate accessibility for those in need.
