12 Things You Need to Know About Stroke - Stroke Foundation
Animated Explainer Video
The Stroke Foundation is a national charity in Australia dedicated to preventing, treating, and beating stroke. The Foundation engaged Punchy Studio to create an educational video to address the communication challenge of guiding patients and their families through the complexities of the stroke recovery journey. The brief was to distil vital medical information into 12 essential points, covering everything from the immediate emergency response to long term rehabilitation and lifestyle changes. We produced a supportive animated explainer video that uses clear iconography and calming visuals to explain what happens when blood flow to the brain is interrupted. Our approach focused on both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, highlighting common post stroke challenges such as fatigue, depression, and driving restrictions. The video is deployed on the Stroke Foundation website and in hospital settings to provide patients with a roadmap for their discharge and follow up care. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and a reassuring voiceover, we effectively simplified critical health information for a vulnerable audience. Detailed motion graphics reinforce the call to action, encouraging viewers to access the “My Stroke Journey” book and contact the StrokeLine for ongoing support.
