Voice to Parliament (Allyship) - ANTaR

ANTaR is a national advocacy organisation dedicated to supporting the rights and justice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The organisation engaged Punchy Studio to create a second animated video to address the communication challenge of defining active allyship during the 2023 Indigenous Voice referendum. The brief was to present the Uluru Statement from the Heart as a gift to the nation and to frame the vote as an opportunity for true allies to listen and then act. We produced a professional animated explainer video that emphasises the importance of constitutional recognition through the establishment of a voice to parliament. Our approach focused on the themes of overdue change and reconciliation, highlighting that years of consultation have led to the current call for voice, treaty, and truth. The video is deployed on ANTaR’s digital platforms and shared with partner organisations to motivate voters to embrace change rather than fear it. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and a compelling voiceover, we effectively messaged that the time has come to get the reform done. Clear motion graphics reinforce the call to action, encouraging those who are unsure to find out more and for allies to advocate for a “Yes” vote.
