Where the overview video introduced the issue, this piece dug into the lived experience of laying hens in cage systems, comparing welfare outcomes across housing types and making the case for cage-free alternatives. The brief was to give supporters and policymakers a concise, evidence-led resource they could share to build momentum behind reform.Punchy delivered a complementary animated explainer that paired emotionally resonant character design with grounded, fact-based narration. Visual metaphors were used to communicate complex welfare science (such as natural behaviours hens are unable to perform in cages) in a way general audiences could follow. The animation matched the visual system established in the broader RSPCA campaign for consistency across touchpoints. Services included scripting, illustration, character animation, voiceover and sound design, with the final video built for social, web and stakeholder distribution.
