Connection - R U OK?

R U OK? is an Australian harm prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and support those struggling with life’s ups and downs. The organisation approached Punchy Studio to address the communication challenge of senior isolation, requesting a sensitive tool to highlight how ageing can lead to health concerns or loneliness while empowering the community to spot signs of struggle. We produced a gentle animated explainer video using relatable, everyday scenarios to illustrate the power of connection, focusing on visualising simple actions like catching up over a meal to show how easily a meaningful conversation can start. The video is deployed across digital platforms and the R U OK? website as a vital community resource. By combining strategic scripting, custom animation, and a warm voiceover, we ensured the message felt supportive rather than clinical. The addition of motion graphics highlights the call to action, directing viewers to further resources for starting life-changing conversations.
