Volume and Modeling - ESA Math Hub Series

Education Services Australia (ESA) is a not-for-profit company owned by Australian education ministers that develops digital products and services for schools nationwide. ESA approached Punchy Digital Media to produce a series of animated explainers for its Maths Hub, designed to help teachers and students unpack difficult mathematical concepts. “Volume and Modeling” was the seventh video in a ten-part series, tackling the topic of three-dimensional measurement and how mathematical modelling applies to volume calculations. Punchy worked closely with ESA’s subject-matter team to translate complex concepts into clear visual sequences, using consistent character design and motion graphics across the series to build pedagogical familiarity. The animations were designed for classroom and online learning environments and distributed through the Maths Hub platform to schools across Australia. The series demanded multiple design revision rounds given the precision required for mathematical content. Services included script consultation, custom illustration, storyboarding, animation, motion graphics, and voiceover production.
