Proportions - ESA Math Hub Series

Education Services Australia (ESA) is a not-for-profit company owned by Australian education ministers, developing digital products and services for schools nationwide. As part of ESA’s ten-part Maths Hub animated series produced by Punchy Digital Media, “Proportions” addresses one of the foundational concepts in middle-school mathematics: how quantities relate to one another and how proportional reasoning underpins everything from recipe scaling to map reading. Punchy worked closely with ESA’s subject-matter experts to translate the concept into clear visual sequences, using consistent characters, colour systems, and motion patterns shared across the wider Maths Hub series to support pedagogical continuity. The animation was distributed through ESA’s Maths Hub platform to teachers and students across Australia, supporting both classroom delivery and self-directed learning.
