Sewage Service - Central Coast Council
Animated Explainer Video
Central Coast Council services more than 340,000 residents across the NSW Central Coast region, with water and wastewater infrastructure forming a core part of its operations. The Water Education team approached Punchy Digital Media to produce an explainer animation aimed at improving community understanding of how the sewage system works, where waste goes after it leaves the home, and the treatment process that follows. The video was designed not for office or boardroom use but for community education settings including school visits and public outreach, which shaped the tone and visual approach. Punchy produced an animated explainer that traces a household’s wastewater journey through the council’s network, showing the treatment stages in clear visual sequences accessible to school-age audiences and the general public alike. Services included script development, character design, storyboarding, animation, motion graphics, and voiceover production, with the final piece designed for flexible use across digital and in-person community education channels.
