Our Plan for the Future - Shire of Mundaring

The Shire of Mundaring, a local government area covering the Perth Hills in Western Australia, needed to communicate its 2024 to 2034 Council Plan to residents. The plan was shaped by feedback from over 3,000 community members and uses a place-based approach across the Shire’s Foothills, Hills and Rural communities. The challenge was translating a ten-year strategic document into something residents would actually watch and absorb. Punchy produced a 2 minute animated explainer with a 30 second social media cut. The animation style is clean, warm and reflective of the Mundaring landscape, walking viewers through the plan’s three pillars of sustainability, the place-based delivery model, and key projects from protecting Lake Leschenaultia to revitalising the Mundaring Town Centre. The video was deployed across the Shire’s website, social channels and electronic newsletters to drive awareness of the council plan. Punchy delivered scripting, design, animation, voiceover, hardcoded subtitles and motion graphics.
