Transgrid operates the high voltage electricity transmission network in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The company engaged Punchy Studio to produce an animated video to address the communication challenge of explaining the transition from traditional coal power to a renewable energy future. The brief was to define renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal and clarify the specific role Transgrid plays in making this transition possible through vital infrastructure upgrades. We produced an engaging animated explainer video that uses clean, environmental visuals to illustrate the sustainability of renewable resources compared to finite fossil fuels. Our approach focused on the tangible benefits for Australians, including the delivery of safe, reliable energy and the creation of jobs in regional areas. The video is deployed on the Transgrid website and social media channels to educate the public and stakeholders on the network projects currently underway. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and an informative voiceover, we effectively positioned Transgrid as a key enabler of the clean energy future in Australia.
