Common Return to Work Barriers - EML

EML is one of Australia’s largest workers compensation and personal injury claims managers, supporting injured workers through recovery and return to work. They approached Punchy to help equip case managers, employers and workers themselves with a clearer understanding of the most common obstacles that stall return to work outcomes, including psychological factors, workplace culture issues, and practical barriers around modified duties. Punchy produced an animated training piece that grouped the barriers into clear categories and used scenario-based examples to show how each one shows up in practice. The animation style was clean and professional, designed to suit an internal training context while remaining engaging enough to hold attention through detailed content. A measured voiceover carried the narrative, supported by motion graphics that visualised statistics and frameworks. Services included scripting, storyboarding, illustration, motion graphics, voiceover and audio mastering. The final video was deployed inside EML’s case manager training program and shared with employer partners as part of their return to work education resources.
