Australia’s Emerging Geothermal Industry - Within Energy

Within Energy is an Australian leader in the emerging geothermal sector, focused on delivering 24/7 baseload renewable energy. The company engaged Punchy Studio to solve a specific communication challenge: explaining the massive, untapped potential of geothermal energy to investors and the public while highlighting its reliability compared to other renewables. The brief was to translate complex geological data into a compelling narrative about Australia’s path to carbon neutrality. We produced a high-impact animated explainer video that uses clean, technical motion graphics and global data to frame geothermal as a proven technology with a century-long history. Our approach focused on the staggering scale of local resources, specifically the fact that a tiny fraction of the heat found deep underground could power the nation for millennia. The video is deployed across investor pitch decks and digital platforms to drive engagement and lead the charge in Australia’s clean energy transition. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and an authoritative voiceover, we positioned Within Energy as the primary mover in a rapidly expanding market. Strategic motion graphics were used to visualise energy capacity and the recent surge in exploration permits, providing a clear and inspiring call to action for stakeholders to get involved in the future of Australian power.
