NESA - HALT Ceremony
Corporate Video
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is the state government body responsible for the curriculum, assessment, and teaching standards in New South Wales schools. NESA approached Punchy Studio to produce a celebratory video for the Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) ceremony to address the communication challenge of recognising and validating the rigorous professional journey these educators undertake. The brief was to highlight the value of teacher accreditation and the impact that expert, innovative teachers have on student outcomes and the broader professional community. We produced a vibrant live action corporate video that captures the reflections and achievements of newly accredited HALTs during their recognition ceremony. Our approach used a documentary style narrative, blending candid event footage with personal testimonials from teachers who discussed their motivations for pursuing high level standards and the leadership toolkits they developed as a result. The video is deployed across NESA digital channels and education forums to inspire other practitioners to reflect on their strengths and strive for excellence. By managing the scripting to align with national teaching standards and using high quality live action production, we created a powerful piece of social proof for the profession. Polished motion graphics were integrated throughout to reinforce the celebratory tone and highlight the significant achievement of being a HALT in New South Wales.
