Gender Pay Gap Review 2024 - WGEA
Animated Explainer Video
The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is an Australian Government statutory agency created by the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012. WGEA engaged Punchy Studio to create an animated video to address the communication challenge of explaining legislative amendments to the Act and their impact on Australian employers. The brief was to outline new reporting requirements, including the publication of employer gender pay gaps for organisations with 100 or more employees. We produced a clean and professional animated explainer video that uses clear data visualisations and a chronological roadmap to help employers prepare for changes starting from late 2023. Our approach focused on transparency and accountability, highlighting new mandatory reporting on CEO remuneration, employee age, and sexual harassment prevention policies. The video is deployed on the WGEA website and through industry briefings to ensure compliance and support gender equality progress across the workforce. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and an authoritative voiceover, we effectively simplified complex regulatory updates into actionable information. Bold motion graphics reinforce the call to action, directing viewers to the WGEA website to learn more about the evolving reporting landscape.
