The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) is a federal government body established to accelerate Australia’s shift to affordable and reliable renewable energy. ARENA approached Punchy Studio to create a compelling animated video targeted at Australian businesses to address the communication challenge of why transitioning to renewables is not just good for the environment, but also smart for the bottom line. The brief was to highlight how large corporations globally are setting ambitious renewable targets while Australian companies risk falling behind due to perceived costs. We produced an engaging animated explainer video that uses clear visual data and a modern graphic style to illustrate the significant long-term cost savings and reduced price volatility offered by renewable sources. Our approach focused on consumer expectations, revealing that the majority of Australians prefer products made with clean energy and are even willing to pay a premium for them. The video is deployed across government websites and business summits to provide a five-step leadership framework for CEOs to begin their shifting journey. By combining professional scripting, custom animation, and a motivational voiceover, we effectively framed renewable energy as a key driver of corporate success.
