Bystanders who witnessed or heard about harassment often hesitated to act, not because they didn’t care, but because they didn’t have a clear method for stepping in.
Workers who had been targeted often didn’t seek legal advice because the process felt opaque or risky to begin.
Two different audiences. Two different problems. Both needing clear, actionable information delivered in a format people would actually watch and act on.
We produced two animated videos, each designed to address each side of the issue.
The first focused on bystanders and introduced the “disrupt, relate, escalate” framework. Three response were set to a different worker in a different industry where harassment statistically happens most, signalling that being a bystander isn’t tied to a particular job or identity.
The second video focused on people who may have experienced workplace sexual harassment themselves. It walked through what seeking legal advice from Circle Green looks like in practice, including what’s free and confidential, the different ways to get in touch, what information may be asked for, and why.
Animation gave Circle Green the flexibility to carefully manage tone, representation, and pacing across a sensitive topic.
Together, the videos gave them a consistent set of resources that could support prevention, education, and help-seeking across their website, social channels, and workplace training.
