City of Liverpool - 2020 Annual Report

Liverpool City Council, one of the largest and most culturally diverse councils in New South Wales, has worked with Punchy across multiple annual report videos. The 2020 reporting cycle followed a year defined by COVID-19 disruption, community resilience and significant local investment, and the council needed a way to communicate financial and operational highlights to ratepayers in a format more accessible than the printed report. Punchy produced an animated summary video that distilled the annual report’s key statistics, community programs and infrastructure milestones into a concise, visually driven piece. The motion graphics style was designed to make data legible and engaging, with iconography and animated charts replacing dense text. The video was deployed across Liverpool City Council’s website and social channels to coincide with the annual report’s public release, helping the council meet its community reporting obligations in a way ratepayers were more likely to actually watch.
