Better Bin Bundle: Upsize Recycling Bin - Redland City Council

This companion piece for Redland City Council focused on the other side of the Better Bin Bundle program: upsizing the recycling bin. The brief was to encourage households that recycle a lot to opt into a larger recycling bin, reducing pressure on the landfill bin and improving overall diversion rates. The audience was Redland residents weighing up whether the larger bin made sense for their household. Punchy produced an animated explainer in the same visual system as the Downsize Landfill Bin video, maintaining consistency across the campaign. The video covered what can and cannot go in the recycling bin, how upsizing changes the kerbside service, and what residents can expect once they opt in. A warm voiceover, clean motion graphics and friendly character work kept the tone approachable. Services included scripting, storyboarding, illustration, animation, voiceover and audio mix. The video was deployed alongside the broader Better Bin Bundle campaign across Council communications, social media and the resident-facing website.
